Toronto based photographer. Trying to find her way into the world step-by step.

There’s just something about photography and portraiture that makes my creativity run wild. I am constantly inspired and have many ideas circling around in my head. I love that I am able to let out my creative juices and make it come to life.
With the help of some wonderful people in my life, they allow me to experiment and work some magic on them.

A little while back I worked on a series called; Reflections.
Let me tell you, it was a challenge alright, I went in with this idea, after coming across an image here and there, and fell in love – I then decided that it was something I wanted to recreate and try for myself.

The day I decided to shoot this series, I was finishing up another series called; Beauty. Because my lovely models wanted to model for reflections as well, we tackled it the same night. Very long, late and tiring night.

Before working on a creative series, I like to do my research and gain as much knowledge and insight as I possibly can – but not with this one. I knew what “Reflections” I wanted to use, but how I was going to get that to work was a whole different situation.

I had the basic idea down, but perfecting it and getting it right was the hard part. The angle, the intensity, the focus, and so on and so forth. There were many times where both myself and my models wanted to give up because it had already been a long enough day of shooting and it was just getting way to late for any of us. But just as we were about to throw down the gloves, it all came together and I ended up with some wonderful shots I am happy with.

Cherry Blossoms

For the longest time my best friend, Nicole and I have been taking about going downtown to High Park to see the Cherry Blossoms in full bloom.

We trekked out on an adventure last year, but it wasn’t a good year for the blossoms, as only a few of them would bloom and would quickly be blown away by the wind. We got there around sunset, and had only a short period of time to take in their beauty. But this year we wanted it all!

We both spent weeks checking for updates on the blossoms. Yesterday we decided to take a trek downtown and to visit High Park to see the beautiful blossoms in full bloom and I’m so glad that we did!

Here are a couple shots from our mini adventure!

Lips as Sweet as Candy!

I’ve always been someone who likes a little pop of colour! Working on bold shoots is one of my favourites. I love when people are as open minded and artistic as I am, it makes the shoot so much more enjoyable!
As much as I do enjoy simple portraiture, I love shoots that are different and that are more interesting.

My model had the idea of putting candy on her lips mid-way through and she did! It was interesting to see and such a great experience!’

The End of a Chapter

It’s been two years since I started college. I was skeptical to go back to school after graduating high school and kept putting it off.
One day, after the constant reminders of my family, friends and boyfriend I decided to sign up, and I got accepted. I was ecstatic.
This was the start of a new chapter in my life. I have learned a lot, experienced new things, met wonderful people and had fun along the way.

It’s been a week since my last class, my last presentation. I’m done college! Woo!

It’s been a wonderful two years and I couldn’t have done it without the support of my family, boyfriend, friends, professors and everyone who has believed in me!
We’ve had a lot of early mornings, long days and late nights shooting to get assignments done. I’ve had the greatest support team a girl could ever dream of!

Last week Durham College also held a Portfolio Showcase for the graduating Digital Photography students. I wanted to thank everyone who came out today to support me and my fellow classmates. Thank you to all the new faces that stopped by and took a minute to flip through my book. Your love and support is tremendously appreciated!

I feel grateful to have been apart of the Durham College Digital Photography program for the last two years and am a bag of mixed emotions as the term comes to an end. It’s been an unforgettable journey and I wouldn’t have been where I am today if it wasn’t for the support, patience and knowledge of the professors that have guided me along the way! Thank you!

Real Estate

I recently had to shoot Real Estate photos for a school assignment. I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to photography my aunt’s house who is currently in the process of moving.

This house holds so many memories from when I was a baby. I will definitely miss the summer walks over, the surprise coffee visits and having my aunt and uncle a hop, skip and a jump down the street from me.  I will cherish those memories and forever keep them in a special place in my heart.

Meaghan & Connor

A little while back I had the privilege of taking Meaghan and Connor’s Maternity photos.

This was one of my first Maternity shoots and it was a lot of fun. The parents to be were great to work with and expressed so much joy and passion towards each other and their baby.

Here are a few of my favourite shots from the shoot!

New Content Coming Soon!

Hi there,

It’s been a while since I last updated the blog. It has been a crazy few months over at ESP! I started a new job as an assistant photographer shooting product. I have been going to school full time and I have been shooting daily, working on new projects and working with so many wonderful people! I’m excited to say that I’m in my final semester of college and will be done (finally) in four weeks!

I have been working on so many new and exciting new projects, both for final assignments and for personal use. I am in the process of editing and finalizing the images and will share with you all shortly.

It’s time for me to get back to work. But first, coffee!
