Toronto based photographer. Trying to find her way into the world step-by step.

A while back I had the privilege of photographing this little bundle of joy. She is happy, bubbly and spreads smiles all around.

It was one of my first baby sessions and I was delighted to have experienced it. She was easy to work with and just a joy to be around.
It was a different environment and a change from my usual routine, but was nice, and I would like to get some more experience in this.

Here are some photos from my session with Bella:

I’ve been working on this project for a few months now. I’ve been capturing different people, different smiles, in different places. I’ve been waiting for the perfect time to launch this project, and what better day than World Smile Day? I’ve launched the project on my facebook page, you can head on over there to check it out. Spread the love, spread the project.

A smile is a simple facial expression that we use in our everyday lives. Every smile is unique. It holds meanings or can tell a story that differ from each person. A smile is worth a million words. Whether it shows a form of happiness, joy, sadness, reassurance, etc. Smiles are a mood booster that works towards yourself and others. It’s contagious – whether it’s sincere or fake, smiling has hormonal and psychological self medicating results. A smile just might make someones day, which makes us feel like better human beings in the long run.

When someone smiles, I smile in return, and there’s one constant question that pops into my head, “I wonder what is making them smile.”

I’ve started this project to showcase different smiles to show how different people are. To justify how the simplicity and complexity of a single smile differs from person to person. To show that there is a reason for everything. To show us not to judge one another, because behind that smile, there’s something much deeper and meaningful that you’re not aware of. Different things make different people smile, and I wanted to showcase that with the world with the help of these wonderful human beings.
Smile at someone, it doesn’t hurt. It may brighten up their day!

Everyone is different, everyone is unique, everyone has a story.

Happy World Smile Day!

Vegas Smile

“A warm smile is the universal language of kindness.” – William Arthur Ward

This photograph was taken by myself back in June on a trip to Las Vegas.

I was looking into my viewfinder, focusing into my subject and snapped the photo. When I looked up there was this man standing in front of me who was taking a photo of me while I was taking a picture myself.
I smiled at him and chuckled, as he stood there with a big bright smile on his face, posing, and waiting for me to take one of him.

Although we could not communicate, his vibrant smile spoke for him. We waved and smiled back at each other and got on with our day. It was a nice surprise which put a smile on my face and brightened up my morning.

Smiles are a powerful thing. Smiles have so much meaning, and so many unique, and empowering stories behind them. Smiles are unique and are the universal language between all human beings.

I am currently polishing up a photo series that I have been working on for the past few months called “SMILES” .. it shows and explains reasons, meanings, stories or what makes people smiles.

Stay tuned for more updates on this series!

Keep Smiling 🙂

The other day I had a great time shooting one of my best friends dog, Prince.
Prince just turned one last month. He is a mutt. His breed is mixed with Doberman, Collie, Husky and Boxer.

Prince is always friendly and playful. He can run around and play for hours on end. He loves to have a good time.

We took Prince to the park to play with Angel, and they both had a blast. They ran around, played and cooled off at the splash pad in between!

Here are a few photos from the shoot!

Hidden Treasure.

It was a hot, sunny July morning. The sun was shining bright, and felt warm on my skin. There was a soft cool, refreshing breeze from the tree’s as I walked through the ravine.

While exploring through the forest, enjoying nature and taking in the earths natural beauty, I stumbled upon this abandoned rocking horse. A hidden treasure.
There was something about it that intrigued me, I couldn’t walk away with out snapping a photo.

I wondered how long it had been there, who’s it was, why it was in the middle of the forest, who put it there.. so many questions circled my head. All I could do was snap a photograph and here it is.

I’ve been working on a series called “Framed”.

These photos are taken in a studio, using studio lights. The idea sprouted when I booked the studio one afternoon and there was a frame left behind from the previous photographer. I decided to have some fun with it.

Below are a few of the photographs from this series.. I will definitely like to work one something like this again, but with a kick of more creativity.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing this beauty! Her name is Angel. She is part boxer, mastiff and golden lab. She is sweet, energetic and playful.

Here are a few shots from the shoot this weekend.
